Life is Hard. I get it.
My own need for a mentor came to me by surprise when my mother died. I was eight years old. My father was an incredible provider. He did his best to make up for the hole left in her place. But as wonderful as he was, he was unable to nurture my heart. I didn't know what I was missing until it found me through the love and attention of a mentor.
She was my cheerleader—an encourager, a trusted resource, a listening ear— invested in my well being. As tensions in my house raged in my teen years, I knew I could trust her to be objective, find the good in me, and cheer me on. She was a precious resource and showed me the impact a mentor could have on a girl’s future.

A MENTOR IS AN INCREDIBLE RESOURCE.
Being present to the experience of others, reminds us of our own stories. We all need support, encouragement and love.

IF I SAY, "SURELY THE DARKNESS WILL HIDE ME AND THE LIGHT BECOME NIGHT AROUND ME," EVEN THE DARKNESS WILL NOT BE DARK TO YOU; THE NIGHT WILL SHINE LIKE THE DAY,FOR DARKNESS IS AS LIGHT TO YOU.
