Even when it's good . . .
Life. Is. Hard.

Dad did his best. He left with his brown leather briefcase every morning, and traded it for an apron and spatula at night.  We never went hungry, and we loved each other, but life was hard without a mom to guide me through the girl stuff and nurture my heart. At just the right time, in my teens, God brought his light to me through the love and attention of a mentor.

A MENTOR IS AN INCREDIBLE RESOURCE.

She was my cheerleader—an encourager, a trusted resource, a listening ear— invested in my well being.  As tensions in my house raged in my teen years, I knew I could trust her to be objective, find the good in me, and cheer me on. I became stronger and more confident. She showed me the impact a mentor could have on a girl’s future.

Now I give what I have received. Someone objective to cheer you on and help you grow! This is the idea behind Butterfly on the Wall—my bi-monthly podcast.

At just the right time, when I needed it the most, God brought his light to me . . . through the love of a mentor.
